This has me worried

Bought my z3 early April with a fresh mot pass.. no issues there then..
Well I've just done the mot history check and it makes for worrying reading.

Obviously the fracture is what's worrying me.
He never said any work had been carried out recently either so this makes me think he's been to one of those testers who pass anything for a fee...
The car passed an mot 4 days later with the exact same milage

I'd go back and ask the seller for proof of works carried out to enable it to pass the MOT if it's not obvious and if not question the test centre and go from there. You could also get a further check carried out for piece of mind.

Maybe he got the garage to fix these before putting it through the MOT again, hence it did not gain anymore mileage? A few days to get the parts needed and a few days to fix?

I was just about to say. It has an mot I was just not made aware of any work that was needed to pass he just said it passed fine.
Possibly didn't want to put people off by saying it had a fracture repair?..
I'll still be going zedfest so you boffins can have a look haha.
The word FRACTURE just made me panic

You are right to be cautious. Was the car passed by the same garage? If not l can smell a rat. Ultimately you need peace of mind (a) that the car is safe, and (b) that you haven't beem stiyched up. l would take the car to another garage that does MOTs and explain the situation and dont ask for an MOT - just for them to check the car over to see if the 'fail' items have been rectified. If they havent and specifically something bad comes to light on the rear then you need to report this to the ministry of transport / dvla and possibly trading standards. If a tester has passed a car with serious faults he will be disqualified from carrying out MOTs and quite rightly so.

I will never know which garages carried out the test but as someone pointed out the car can't have driven far as mileage was the same..

Jack it up and take a wheel off you should be able to see if any work has been done by peering in. New brake pipes should stick out like a sore thumb.

one for @t-tony to comment on but the MOT number on first cert is 1402 4217 3604 and the second is 8040 2524 6340. Big difference or do fails and passes have different sequences?

Edit - may have answered my own question - just looked back on my own cars record for last fail and then pass. Numbers are vastly different so presume separate sequential registers.

That wouldn't happen im afraid. Speaking as a tester you only have come back with garage 1 month for mechanical and 3 months for corrosion. Reading the failure its not very specific as to what was fractured. Happy to have a look at zedfest for you just come find me only 3 dakar yellow z3 going me brian h and bm babe so i won't be hard to find

The mot should have the testing station number on it to check.

It's probably the fairly common issue of the boot floor spot welds giving way, take out the carpet in the boot and have a look.
Jacking up and checking the area where the diff is mounted will show it up too.
If you google Z3 cracked boot floor, spot welds etc and the name Randy Forbes you will find many many pics.

If you weren't given a pass paper you can probably guarantee the seller was hiding something. I know these are no longer a requirement but I would always expect to see one when viewing a car. You can report the mot by its test number and it will be investigated. If it comes back as dodgy what are your intentions? Will you be going back to the seller for a refund?

He could have left the car with the garage which did the MOT and they repaired it and retested it. It will still show up on the history as a failure.
When I bought my Zed, it was an approved used BMW and part of the warranty was the next MOT, This is what shows up on a check. The sidelight bulbs were blue which I had never queried and I had a satnav holder in the lower corner of the windscreen. The MOT was carried out by my local BMW dealer nit the one I bought it from.
