I did one of them courses a few years ago.

It's not a speed awareness course at all. It's a morning spent learning how to understand the cryptic clues so you can figure out what the speed limit actually is.

In my case some decent road signs would've saved me the trouble. Instead of me missing un-lit street lamps at 3am in the middle of nowhere.

Did one years ago and just got caught again, couldn't face another so paid the fine and had the points. Bonus was after telling my Insurance both policies for the Z3 and Z4 came out cheaper, Saga man couldn't believe it when he came back with the prices, neither could I so renewed there and then.

Watched a comedian the other day who said he did a speed awareness during the pandemic and it was on Zoom

Did one myself quite a while back, seems that up here in our sub-tropical paradise up to 12 mph over the limit you have the option of the course, anything over that it's prosecution time. Neither of the blokes in charge could explain why 12 mph over 30 in town is considered the same as 12 mph over the limit on the A55 (mostly 70). Seems wrong to me, but heyho.
