No doubt other forces wait to see if revenues have increased, then apply the same.

Rather than just target speed - Id rather see unmarked cars catching, dangerous, unattentive drivers, using mobiles taiL gating etc. These tend to cause more incidents if less fatalities. We have laws against these but enforcing them regularly doesnt happen.

However we can and will catch the unsuspecting motorist travelling a little over the speed limit - often on a quiet stretch where making progress is safe and easy.
As you won't recognise the van you'll carry on the same until it drops through your door 2 weeks later. It hasnt actually slowed you down at the time you were speeding.

That is b*******s. I agree there is a "worrying escalation’ in falling driving standards", but raising revenue from speeding tickets won't help one jot. :(

They only put speed traps on roads where the speed limit is maybe a little vague and where a little over the limit is not dangerous. If it was dangerous they'd prevent speeding with speed bumps or other traffic calming measures.

One of those nonsense posts to get drivers to slow down. I'm pretty sure it's a legal requirement for the police to be seen. Or I'll start running a jammer again...

From what I saw, and posted a while ago, these new vans are camouflaged and not covered in reflective tape.

Tony.
