I know how you feel. Two skanks tried to break into my wife's car to move it to get at my Z3's cat. They walked onto the drive with security lights and cctv wearing masks and gloves at 00:40 yesterday morning. Ran off like Olympic sprinters when I banged on the window. Police wanted a video and took almost a day to provide a crime number. Needless to say the Zed has been moved off the drive.Went out to my Zed this morning and thought the rear end was sitting a little high. I tried to start her up and instantly knew some thieving bast**ds have cut out my cat.
I live on the main street though our village and the car is parked on the drive outside my garage with a street lamp on the other side of the road.
They did me last year when they butchered the exhaust on my Honda Accord. That cost me around £1200 to put right.
To say I'm p***** off is an understatement. I feel violated and just like last time I don't think I can keep the car now. I had to sell the Honda after the last incident.
The police don't want to know, they just give you a crime number.
Thanks AndyboyThe top one.
I had a PCSO call round to view the footage but said they were unlikely to be caught as they had ski masks on. I think the police just expect the victims to claim on their insurance.Cameras don't make a blind bit of difference, I had CCTV footage of the guys who nicked the cat off mine.....saw them do the whole thing....it took them 4 minutes from pull up to drive off and they did it in broad daylight, Saturday afternoon!! They had a metallic blue Volvo V50, had a spoiler on the back.
They even left the saw blade on the pavement as evidence......police weren't helpful at all. Said they couldn't make out the faces, and told me to drop the blade off at the nearest station. Haven't heard a thing since......
And that's why they issue a crime number. They can then wash their hands of it and move on to catching speeding motorists. Much easier.I had a PCSO call round to view the footage but said they were unlikely to be caught as they had ski masks on. I think the police just expect the victims to claim on their insurance.
