Driving down the road this morning when a car coming the other way started to veer across the road coming at me head on then I saw that the lady driving it was staring into the rear view mirror doing her hair! A blast on the horn brought her back to reality. Coming back home I stopped to turn right at a busy junction, indicator on, waiting for a car coming the other way to pass when to my astonishment the four cab pick up behind me just drove past cutting across the junction narrowly missing both the oncoming car and one in the side road, bonkers!

I am subscribed to a couple of dashcam clip channels on youtube and it is astonishing how some people just ignore junctions, signals and rules of the road in general. And then of course will hurl abuse at anyone who dared chastise them as if they have done nothing wrong!

That's the bit that get's me. It's one thing making mistakes on the road, but to then deny it and shout abuse at all and sundry is something I don't understand.

When my daughter was learning to drive a couple of years ago, I was gob-smacked at the amount of people who would pull out in front of her and blast their horns if she was hesitant at junctions or lights. Surely the big red L plates give some clue that she was not an experienced driver?

I have days when i am convinced my car is sprayed with invisable paint.

I think mine has a large idiot magnet Paul.

Tony.

Me too Tony, in the last couple of years my cars have been hit 3 times, one a write off. In every case my car was stationary at the time! You would think, well perhaps those drivers had a car fault or medical problem , but no just not looking where they were going.

What we call "soccer mom" in a minivan was at a stop sign on a side street to the main road I was driving on in the Z3. She looked straight at me, and when I was about 50 feet from her, she pulled out and turned left right in front of me. The only reason there was no collision was because I anticipated her doing just that and was already hard on the brakes. I know we made eye contact because she continued to look at me as she made the turn...
