There's a few about ....................... and some of them ride bikes !!

Tut tut, Mk1 Jag Tony, and looks like it has coombs rear arches. Bloody lycra clad t**ts are all over the lanes around Staffs and the farm, middle of the road is their normal position and doggedly sit there refusing to let motorists get past. I saw a pack of them swing into a main road refusing to give way at the junction with the main road, traffic on the main road had to swerve around them or clean them up. Their arrogence defies belief.

Sorry 're the Jag mate not quite old enough to remember them all ;) but I would know a Mk10 if I saw one.

Tony.

I was following Bozzy out of Susworth on Sunday when we came upon an idiot on a bike (I honestly don't know how else to describe him) he was riding in the centre of the road and didn't look like shifting. It was me who hit the horn button by the way, not Bozzy. After Bozzy had passed he was going to pull back to the centre of the road until I used my horn again. I suspect he was listening to music, or he was deaf. He never looks back to see what's behind him either.

It is a good road down by the Trent Roy, you'll enjoy it mate, I'm sure!! :) How're you doing ?

Tony.

See loads of cyclists with headphones in. How do they expect to live, when they can't even hear anything else going on around them!!

I'm a cyclist, always have been, motorcyclist as well.

Headphones riding a bike on a public road?

Pure stupidity.

Like my best mate whom I used to snowboard with. Been going over 20 years, pretty high speeds. When we pass each other we shout "coming passed right"

This day he had his headphones in, I took him out when he changed direction suddenly, a right mess and we fell out over it.

Truth is he'd have heard me if he hadn't got his headphones on. I could have killed him, was doing 62mph when I hit him.

We have a bloke at work who likes to yawp and shout about a lot and people are sick of hearing him so the youngest member of staff started wearing headphones in the workshop to drown out the idiot. I complained to the management because it was downright dangerous.

Tony.

Well how about this then, an American Oil & Gas service company next door to us made its personnel wear full safety gear all the time, even in the workshop, hard hat, ear defenders the lot, no matter what they were doing, even if it was just painting tools in the paint bay. The amount of times people nearly got flattened by forklifts.....

Can believe it mate, you need all your senses working when in an environment like that.

Tony.

Can believe it

Made me laugh, they were so used to wearing it that if you went to talk to one about getting borrowed kit back etc, they would shout at you to speak up. I just used to tap the side of the ear defender and they would say "oh yeah, OK".....

Force of habit mate. WHAT !!!=))

Tony.

Saw one of their guys sat in the canteen with them on and when he saw me laughing he said he did it because he did not want to listen to the other tossers while he was having his lunch.

I can agree with that sentiment Mike, I work with such ..........................

They squeeze up the inside of lorries in London and get themselves killed.

Same as motorcyclists filtering to the front of a line.

It may well be legal, but why risk your life?
