Thanks pal, its certainly given the car a lift.Holy Moly mate, that's a great job!
Not cheap mate that's why I didn't get it done when I had it painted.Christ I could almost paint it for that price
Sorry . Don't be cross.I've missed this thread so I've just read it all from the beginning. What a star you are @Sean d, you have made a fantastic job of Steve's Zed, I'm very very impressed. I think you may get a lot more work coming your way after this. @Bozzy you must be pleased, I can't wait to see it in the metal, don't get any dings in it before I see it. Thanks @Grumpy for tagging me and reminding me about my chip, I had put it to the back of my mind. I enquired about a wrap and it was about £350 for the bumper and the front half of the bonnet. As Sean says you're in respray territory.
Thanks for the kind words mate but he has paid me and I like to surprise people, the problem is that its uneconomical in every day life in the shop, the other problem I have is that its hard to fit side jobs in as we are generally busy, this time of year is great because we don't book anything in and just do drop in jobs.I've missed this thread so I've just read it all from the beginning. However, big changes are affront and things might be very different come April next year.

Yes! JIMDid not realize you could wash a car so soon after a respray, or is that an old wife's tale?
Sounds like they made a cracking job for you at a decent price too .Just read this with interest (I was given a link) - unfortunately I'm a bit to far from Sean so had my local body shop (I highly recommend Fat Fenders in Croston, Lancs) who fitted two new wings (I supplied them), painted them and a rear quarter (after fixing rust issues), fixed a badly chipped bonnet and sorted the front bumper fitment for £520. The sills are next!
Bit sad that mate, sitting staring at a car, then again it beats sitting staring at a tele!Sounds like they made a cracking job for you at a decent price too .
It really is worth getting things such as you and i have as Sean says it gives the car a "lift".
With mine it's so nice looking at it and not seeing that stone chipped bonnet and rusty sill ends.
Will be giving it a gentle wash soon and will probably spend the rest of the day just looking at it .
Steve
I certainly am mate,I did tweak the front wings today to adjust the panel gaps to add to your good work .Cheers Jim, when I washed it and took a look at it my thoughts where, that it looks like a genuine BMW Z3, just glad that Bozzy is pleased
