Looking Good Andy.. I hope you checked the pockets of that Grumpy b*****... ;)

Hope it sounded a lot better on the way home too.
So far so good mate, a bit of tweaking on the amp that James showed me

Was good to see @Andy McDonnell and @Grumps today.

Got about 2 days work done in a day. Good fun but wish the rain could of held if just a bit longer.

Hope you had a good trip home Andy. Message me about fine tuning the amp.

Back home next Thursday for 3 days so need to make sure that Bella is in tip top condition for the Lakes Tour :D

Calipers, discs, pads (another pad broke the last time I was home ) and sensors. A tin of Ferrari Red calipers paint too :D

In, say hello, paint calipers and ready for the garage the next morning. Happy days :D

I actually liked doing the brakes on mine.

Mind you fitted 3.0 front callipers to the 1.9 as the standard ones were solid discs and absolutely rubbish.

Fitted E46 330d callipers to the 2.8. Now nice big discs :D

I've done them before mate in the past. Tried when I was home last but the caliper bolts were rock solid and just didn't have the time before flying off again so garage it is on this occasion. Impact wrench on the list for the future as it's not a difficult job apart from the shoes which, for me, are a b*****d to get right

Do the shoes one side at at time
De adjust the adjuster and cables.
Fit shoes adjust through disc till lock on then back off a bit .
Once that all done then adjust the cable.

Yep same here, they're a faff to adjust up just right . Mine are out of sync as I can feel one side ride up when I put the handbrake on, on an incline.

One thing I didn't change on the 2.8 was the front discs and pads as I am planning on upgrading them, is it worth while pal

Drilled and grooved discs definitely a good upgrade Sean along with better pads.

Definitely worth doing.

Got a pair of E46 330 front calipers for £80, and they bolt straight on. Using MTEC grooves and drilled disks and some EBC pads. Very happy
