So I work for a manufacturing company. We only employ graduate engineers and accuracy and attention to detail are where it's at , so to speak.
Turns out one of the lads messed up his email signature. We get the company logo etc and all we do is type our personal email and phone number.
It transpires that for the 12 months he has been in employment his phone number was for a local Pizzeria called Gino's and they are so used to wrong numbers that they tell the caller who to ring.
Yesterday this all came out and the daft lad will be forever called Gino.

It’s a good ploy to keep the calls down though. ;)

For months I had to put up with calls at work for a local Italian because of a misprint in the Yellow Pages. Despite being able to prove the mistake to YP they wouldn’t do anything about it. I told the restaurant but it’s part of a chain so they didn’t look after that sort of thing locally and didn’t seem to care about potential lost business.
