Roger Daltrey and Pete Townsend are currently recording a new album I read this morning. First one for 13 years?
Looking forward to that.

Tony.

Who’s The Who I can hear the young’uns say.

I always find myself disappointed when bands start touring or recording again after years away. It usually turns to s***. I saw Black Sabbath at download a couple of years ago, Ozzy being a hero of mine for as long as I can remember. He was absolutely rubbish and we walked away after 15 minutes. Gutted doesn't come close :(

Seen these guys 35 years ago at Manchester apollo , brilliant just missing Keith moon , then again about 5 ish years ago , okay but more like tribute band

Daltrey still has his voice Dave, did you not hear that album he made with Wilko Johnson a clue of years ago?

Tony.

I don't like seeing older bands and would rather see new or emerging ones.
I last saw Ozzy live at Monsters of Rock in the 80's and he was amazing , owned the stage but it makes me so sad when you see him now.
Roger Daltry is a great performer but to me he has lost his edge. He can't scream like he used to on Don't get fooled again and I want to remember him at his zenith.
I'm sure a shrink would have a great time sorting my head out

Baba O Reilly. Up there with the best tunes ever.
Saw them I’ve a few times in their hey-day including the first ever live playing of Quadrophenia at Trentham Gardens. I still have tinnitus!

Daltrey's a bit of a growler these days but it suits his collaborations with Wilko Johnson. I loved "Going back home", the harmonica player on this track makes his harmonica sound like a saxophone

Won’t get fooled again! Eh!

Not only an apt comment, but, one of the best tracks of all time.

Who are you, one of the first singles I ever bought. Still a classic but I bought the last Who album and thought it was a bit pants. Back in the day I was a big Rush fan but bought their last album and thought that was a bit naff as well.I guess everyone's got a sell by date even if you are mega talented.

:scorecard: Yeah that’s good, for some reason I thought it was bad news :p

Like Rush too having seen them on thr Fairwell to Kings tour at what is now the site of the Motor Museum in Coventry.
As they say about many things - Never go back.

Few groups and musicians constantly develop and remain contemporary and meaningful. I can think of just one that is worthwhile listening to right to the end - David Bowie. The others, remember them as they were. Anyone know any more?

Bruce Springsteen is still very watchable for me, some of his best shows have been in the last 10yrs and he's been touring since the 70's. Top bloke is our Bruce
