Cheers dude, I'll rock till I drop, It just means I have more time to potter with the zed and the TT.

Again thank you all for your best wishes, It's a long time since I have had family or a proper friend but I get the feeling I might have made one or two GOOD friends before I go. I find myself reading all the messages over and over and I just wish I could have met each and every one of you, so to you all, my heart felt gratitude.

John

I'm up in Dundee and visit Ayrshire often. Once our z3 has had its wee revamp am happy to drop past and chat cars and life in general. Take care brother man, life is a different gift every day.

Hi John, your posting is moving and leads me to say that although we may not always have the ability to physically drive, we have had the great opportunity to feel the wind on our faces, the sound of wild life as we motor by. The unbelievable feeling of man and motor as one against the elements. No one can ever take that away from you. Drive on !! All the best.:rally:

Hi John, its a shame that driving has become difficult for you, I hope you don't have to sell your Zed just yet and can continue to enjoy even a limited amount of driving for a while. All the best.
Niall

Hi John, sorry to read your touching news, hope you enjoy your short journeys in the future, good luck.

It's a bit of a wake up call not for just you John, I'm dreading the day when it comes and your post says it all.
I'm jeleous of all you DRIVERS living in what must still be one of the best driving areas in the land. Wish the wife would move up there with me.
Good luck, heart felt best wishes.

Roy.

PS, how would you feel about putting some photos up for us all to reminisce along with you, start with your oldest cars first, I'm sure we'd all love to see what cars you've had.

You're more than welcome anytime at all ma friend, always a pot of coffee on for a weary traveller, open door policy at mine, I'm about 5-6 minutes from the M77 at the other side of the tunnel.
Hope to meet you soon

Unfortunately when I started driving in 76 I took very few pictures and what I did have I never digitized them although I had about 45-50 cars and bikes on my pc, but if you look back through my posts you will see the while I was away on business my home was totally cleared out, even took my carpets and curtains from my bungalow, I lost every personal photo I had. I now have no photos of my parents, my dad died 53 years ago, my mum died 1st nov 97 which was the day I moved to scotland. No photos of brothers or sisters, no wedding photos.... all I had was the suit I was wearing, dirty clothes from my trip but nothing to wash them in.
Luckily I took the garage door zapper and my garage has industrial shutter so at least I still had my car, and believe my that's still sore so ive only got a couple of cars and some toys that I will get round to posting soon.
Thanks once again to all of you for your best wishes..... it does help, thank you

JT

So sorry to hear all of this John. Keep posting, we are all your good buddies on here!

Bonzo.

John,
Your story touched my heart. We've never met, but I truly wish you all the very best. I hope the driving gods let you continue to get behind the wheel, if only locally, for a good while longer....
Take care,
Rob
