Just to get the spelling corrected. Man that eraser hurts . . . . .

And we have a herd of fairy f***ing Elephants living above us here too.

The pier was closed last time we went to Clacton 🌞
And that was only a few weeks ago 🙂

It’s open now Shelly but you wouldn’t know it. I know all about “out of season Holiday towns” cos I live in Lincolnshire but this really seemed different, dead almost.

Strange, we've still got plenty of 'king tourists round here. Easy to spot, they never make eye contact, they can't reverse their nice big 4x4s, and stare at the satnav instead of out of that big glass bit in front of them.

Much the same down here Mick.

When I went to Practical Classics meet last Wednesday (5:00pm) at Saltburn it was absolutely heaving. The carparks were totally full, I had to go round twice to get a spot as someone pulled out. I spoke to Danny Hopkins (the editor) he was amazed as to how busy the place was, I said all you need is a bit of sun, a great beach, fish & chips, ice cream, a pier, amusement arcade and they will come out in droves. Even when I left at 7:15pm there was a queue all the way up hill to get to the carparks.

Danny did a few interviews and took photos for small features in the future editions of the magazine, my car among them. I'll dig some pics out and put on separate thread.

It's just like any "out of season" holiday town.

People are out and about and making the most of being out of 18 months of restrictions

Just not in Clacton. ;)
