The Old Girls Got A New Bonnet

If the bonnets not going back on i don't suppose it matters =))=))
 
The only downside to that is if your not very careful you could mark the paint. I suppose you could use plastic trim removal tools if you have them .
I hear you and your right but as i was removing my front grills from my old bonnet it didn't matter to much.
 
@Low Rider Steve now you have the long awaited new bonnet I think you should put the trademark plaster back on =))

Looks very nice !..The only thing i had to do was put a new bonnet badge on lol..did use the old trick of thin card under badge with small thin screwdriver so as not to bugger the paint up

Your old bonnet was almost more filler than bonnet I seem to recall, and a complete pain to open! Good to see it's another thing ticked off the list Steve.

It was a major pain to open the bonnet a thing of the past now Gaz.

As my old bonnet catches had seen better days

and as the replacement bonnet didn't come with them. I removed the old one's and took them this morning to be shot blasted.

Already looking miles better.
Then I sprayed them with Zinc and Galvanised spray.

Now left to dry while I mowed the lawn
Followed by a second coat.
The spray is touch dry in an hour hardening after 24 hours
 
This is a job on my list my catches are shabby will look for another pair and get some cleaned up top job :thumbsup:
 
Just removed my brothers from his Z3 and they are even worse than mine were.
Back to the shot blaster tomorrow.
