I think anymore horsepower will spoil it, 335 bhp is enough and the thing is fantastic to drive, it's so well balanced, maybe if it was x-drive but I am more than happy with what I have.

I wouldn’t be worried about 380bhp Tony!! You want a 35i not a is you need a manual the auto boxes don’t take power as well.

Then ditch the 2 little turbos fit a bigger single turbo and a decent ECU then 700bhp is easily possible on a stock engine and even the stock injectors. I know this as true as I know of a 135 that’s done it. Guys in the know are calling the n54 the 2jz if this generation.

WoW that's incredible 700 bhp!!! my 500 bhp Nissan scared the crap out of me, but the feeling of being on the ragged edge was like a drug!! I can feel my modest pension slipping through my fingers and my car turning into a project car while I have my audi to fall back on.
If one was that way inclined where would and who would be my go to guy?

Do I understand you correctly that a dct gearbox is not suitable?

Thank you Jim, I'll do that but it will take a while for my wallet to heal from the purchase:spam:

So at 380bhp to start what is it capable of? We all know how bmw hold back on releasing all the power.

I think the most powerful standard zed today is 335 bhp and believe me mate that's exhilarating when you get a sneaky wee chance to use it.

My wife's Ford Fusion has 385hp and I've had some pretty high powered cars over the years but with the FWD it's pretty hairy when that little 2K cc turboed engine kicks in so that BMW must be a wicked ride!! JIM

This is the ford fusion we get here in good old Blighty. Shes a looker ain't she? The 1.6 100bhp power plant makes her pull like a train :D

I looked it up Jim. It's the equivalent of the Ford Mondeo we get here but you get the nice engine to boot. We get a 2.0 diesel :(. It's sooooooooooo unfair.
