Write Up The New Forest 7th May 2017

Great day, thanks to @pgunter for organising. Great to meet old and new peeps. 780 miles on the nose round trip and she purred all the way. The BMW Lane opened up for business from just north of Manchester to Penrith. Meep meep :D

Goosed :arghh:
Is there anything North of Manchester? I thought the M1 finished at Watford!
Award for furthest travelled no doubt!

You'll sleep well tonight mate :dead:.
Like the proverbial baby mate, cry all night and s**t myself :D forced air induction at DEFCON 1 is a bit of a strain, managed to get down to 24.2mpg over Shap  was a tad Miffed when white man van flew passed me though :woot:

Just wanted to say a big thank you from us newbies Tracy and Colin, we didn't know what to expect but from the out set were made to feel very welcome,
Lastly thank you for the 30p for the parking.

It was lovely to meet you both, glad you enjoyed it :)
Not sure when we'll next see you but try not to worry about the interest charge on the 30p =)) the rates are very reasonable :D

Great day out with fellow Zedders,. It was good to catch up with old friends and meet some new ones. Thanks Paul for organising a good day, weather included. Pics are still in the camera, will upload them when we get back home.
Thanks to all in my group for keeping up and together;)

Another good cruise yesterday, thanks to @pgunter and for the cakes,is there no end to this mans tallents? Good to meet old and new members and put faces to forum names. Sorry no pics ours are crap. Thanks to @Bazza for noticing I had polished the Zed, made it worthwhile. Altogether, A very pleasant and relaxing day.

Not bad....
But I do think there was double that in 2015

16 vehicles, Three groups. 6, 5 & 5. Much better to manage too. We had Two at the start that came along to say hello, then had to go separate ways. @Jewell it was nice to see you again and @GazHyde glad the migraine eventually went. The run you were referring to @hard top was indeed a lot bigger, I would say that parking that size of group would be an even bigger headache than a migraine.

@Andy McDonnell I take it those new super cameras hidden at the side of the express lane were not working. Clue. Before the said camera you will see a post with a T bar, which has three or four cameras on. Then short distance further on you will see the two boxes hidden on the side of the road up on a post too. I have seen many flashes of these over the past few weeks as the roadworks on the M5, M1 and M6 get handed back over to normal use. Be warned, these buggers do work 24/7.

Keep the photos coming.

One note, South Downs Run at the end of September. I will be sorting out the details full of the route and I will be closing the thread for numbers at least two weeks before for numbers as BMW are yet again providing us a lovely breakfast starting point.

;)

@hard top The car parks have changed with more accessible parking and more idiots driving the forest (tourists) who do not understand that you slow down and give a wide berth to the wildlife. Tally for the run, 1 Fiat 500 to deep ditch, sounded painful... he should realise that a gap is a gap only when you can fit through it. Did sound mighty painful when his sump hit the edge of the tarmac. Also a horse going crazy when a car got too close, I had to totally stop so the drivers coming the other way could get past too. Crazy people. Lol..

July and August are the worst months down here, and the caravans!!:( Need to be aware of "white goods" drivers.

Good day yesterday folks, thank you to all.:)
