What makes you say that Paul?

From the blurb '...This is combined with an electrically operated textile soft top in anthracite...'

Just thought it would follow on from the E89 model. Didn't realise it was soft top

Don't matter what they do with the 4, it will never have the character of the 3 IMHO.

Never thought I’d say it but I wish they brought back Bangle - his era of cars where years ahead of the times back then but now look every bit as modern today (and better than so many of the designs that are coming out).

I believe pedestrian crash regs are causing the bloated looks and overhangs but would have hoped there was a more elegant way around it. This looks very slab sided and awkward- Something about the overhangs and what looks like a short wheel base in comparison?

Not sleek like a BMW roadster has usually been.

Hopefully it just one of those that doesn’t photograph well...

I like it and they are offering super engines in it but a roadster for me is a car to be driven not to drive you which that thing will with all those gizmos. Step to far for me.

I think it is quite a good looking car except for the kidney grills but there is far too much unnecessary electronic junk on it for a sports car.

It has lost BMW identity by losing the double ring headlights and grille making it look like Jag/Merc :meh:

To an untrained eye, nothing unique in that to make it a BMW

Looks alright I suppose
Needs to have a manual but doubt we will see that
BMW are missing a trick Mazda have kept a small Roadster and not over sized it with the MX5

BMW NEED A NEW Z3 ROADSTER
