With Hugh providing some guidance.
Was good fun to have a go,I wasn't going to just the thought of pranging it :nailbiting:,but it was quite easy with Hugh instructing, enjoyed it :). Thanks @miller1098.

Steve

We got up at 06:00 and were on the road at 06:55:wideyed:, it was still dark. We were to meet up with @Bozzy who was staying at Hugh's place (@miller1098 ) over in Wales. We had a good run over, arriving at about 09:20 for a well earned bacon sarnie and cuppa (thanks Sara:thumbsup:). The plan was for us to have a cruise round the beautiful welsh countryside with Hugh but unfortunately he was very busy loading cow s**t into the spreading machine and couldn't come:depressed:. He did show us on the map the route he was going to take us on so we said we'd do it anyway. We had a great time, tops down all the way, a bit chilly at times but heated seats on and the heater on soon warmed us up. After the cruise we left Steve & Sara chatting to Hugh and headed home. Stopped for a curry en route and arrived home at 22:30. Left in the dark and returned in the dark having driven 330 miles. Brilliant day. Just time to get ready for the next one----oh yes Sunday - The Autumn Colours cruise:whistle:

Some pics before my camera decided not to play anymore:

Great write up @Mint and @Mrs Mint respect for making such an early start to join us and make a full day of it .
Me and Sara enjoyed it just a shame that @miller1098 couldn't come along :meh:.
We couldn't believe it when Sara spotted one of our old primary school teachers in a cafe in Builth Wells who actually lives near us back home :wideyed:,she was as surprised as us we had a laugh with her, something we wouldn't dare do when she taught us as kids :nailbiting:.

Steve

I bet that was a quick cruise Dave, I have followed both you and Steve before.
We might have had a bit of fun round the twisties but it was generally a scenery enjoying trip:whistle:

getting up in the dark again Dave ;)
It was for a special occasion Allan so I bent my own retirement rule of 'Not getting up in the dark'=))

Had to take it steady, didn't want to aggravate Sara's poorly neck and shoulder......again ;).

I missed this pic Steve, me earning my sarnie helping with the washing up. ;)

Good morning Mr & Mrs Bozzy, enjoy your final day, weather ok here so hope you conclude with a top down drive home :racecar:

Got home half an hour ago,had a really good time since last Wednesday staying at @miller1098's romantic get away place, went to the ffestiniog railway on Thursday which was well worth doing, then the epic cruise on Friday with you two another top day, then left Hugh's on Saturday a.m for Ross on Wye via the Brecon beacons to get to the P.I ready for @NODZED's Wye Valley cruise on Sunday which of course was top drawer :D:D.
Back to reality now......the zed is ditched, kids to sort out and work becons :arghh::facepalm:.

Steve

When you look at those pics, it's surprising just how much open ground there is up there. If I woke up from a sleep and looked around to try to figure out where I was, I might think I was in Canada. or Maine Frankie
Lovely scenery there Frankie, as I'm sure you saw when you visited Hugh;)

...Any joy getting your camera fixed ?.
Steve, I've managed to get it working using a microSD card in an adapter:thumbsup:, so I'm going to take Ian's (Redline) advice and leave the card well alone and download my photos via a USB cable. Fingers crossed:nailbiting:
