What did you think to the Grand Ballon then Dave
It was a great drive Bill, loved the twisty turny road and the views were superb. I did have to stop for a coffee/tea before we did the Grand Ballon as a certain party couldn't keep her eyes open. Didn't want her to miss that!

Sorry hadn't read above posts. You'll have to plump for the standard train next time then guys. I'd have been really p***** if someone had leant on our car! Grumpy face coming!:mad::mad:
In all fairness it was an old bloke who missed his footing and just steadied himself with one hand on the bonnet. Rather him get his balance that way rather than fall over and damage the Zed sorry I mean himself. ;)

Well once you have left the motorway the roads and views just get better. Are you doing the Sustenpass and Grimselpass enroute to Oberwald tomorrow

You'll have to get Dave to accept the ferry Pauline. We had no bother at all and we had the very very front seat so it was like driving a huge ship! Good view mind. Jue spotted France very early into the crossing. Strongly advise and cheaper than the train.
If you don't mind coach loads of kids running about and sitting on ya knee it's fine - but i prefer the tunnel. (Minus Dutch Pakistanis leaning on the car) xxx

Yes we are Bill. A relatively short day tomorrow to the Hotel Alpenhof so plenty of time for photos…… and a bimble to enjoy the scenery. Did Kim see any when you drove the passes? =))

1st day done. Good trip down to the tunnel and managed to get an earlier crossing. Unfortunately not top down all the way due to rain by Luton. Top down though now we're in France. Only one photo so far, on the train…. so much for defensive parking. We were in front of a coach and its passengers surrounded us.

Shortish day today from Mulhouse, France to Oberwald, Switzerland. Swiss motorway first thing then turned off to do a couple of passes. Sustenpass then Grimselpass. Absolutely stunning scenery, :Dbut it was very busy over Sustenpass. Some of the bikes were taking big risks, not only with their lives but others as well. Couple of photos…

I know what you mean about bikers in France, we had one come past us on his back wheel, going like stink. I think its the sight of a two seater sports car that excites them

No that's wrong Dave, that's the temperature gauge! :D We've had a couple of moments with bikes but to be fair the car driving seems to have improved ten fold since our last couple of visits. Maybe they've put the fines up!
