1st day done. Good trip down to the tunnel and managed to get an earlier crossing. Unfortunately not top down all the way due to rain by Luton. Top down though now we're in France. Only one photo so far, on the train…. so much for defensive parking. We were in front of a coach and its passengers surrounded us.

It was awful, one of them leant on the car, how dare he. I don't know about Mint but I nearly had fit. Gave him a special Pauline glare and he moved. Dave got out and polished his fingerprints off lol

Only just managed to keep the door mirrors on, hope to never repeat again. So much for going in the highsided train to protect the car :p

Have a great time Dave and Pauline, make a note of Sept. 13th. in your diary. Re the riff raff, depending on where I have to park often people waiting to have their car tyres done will sit on the rear end of my Z. This like a red rag to a bull to me. Opening question " Is that your car?", answer " No, it's not" ( Smiling) " Then why the hell are you sitting on it ?":rage::rage:

Tony.

We don't you take the Ferry? Guys. We always regard the sailing as part of our holiday, using it as an Hotel, so that you arrive fresh in France first thing in the morning!!
Hope you have a lovely time, we're already wishing we were packing to go back instead of packing to move!!! Especially as we haven't a house to move into yet!!!

Glad everyting is going ok. You will love the Grand Ballon. We had to miss it and take a route over the top due to Cycle race but it was a cracking drive and was probabley better than the Ballon itself.

13th will be in the diary Tony. Be great to meet up again. Know what you mean about people not respecting others property, it wouldn't matter what car you own the principle is the same. Having said that, if someone sits on/touches your Zed it is a hanging offence IMO. :slaphead:

You'll have to get Dave to accept the ferry Pauline. We had no bother at all and we had the very very front seat so it was like driving a huge ship! Good view mind. Jue spotted France very early into the crossing. Strongly advise and cheaper than the train.

Sorry but I feel sick just thinking about a ferry. I would happily pay double to go on the train. Done it lots of times but this was the first time we were on first with a coach right behind us. Next time we will be a bit more selective about the loading order and try to get on later.
