Write Up The Lakes Tour 2019

What an outstanding weekend, just short of 700 miles of roof down motoring with warm blue skys for most of the way, must have been in Lala land ;),
It was great to meet old friends and new alike, also great to see 3 cars that where on their first cruise and to see the thorough enjoyment that they all had, of course this was all down to Andy and Yvonnes hard work
A big thanks @andyglym both Carrie and I had a bloody ball, this one is going to take some beating and we can't wait for next year as the Lakes cruise is not one to be missed

Many thanks mate, glad you both enjoyed the weekend

Looks like a great time was had by all.
Fantastic images of some nice cars and nice roads

We're home safe and sound too after 575 miles:thumbsup:. Just to add our thanks to @andyglym and Yvonne for organising what was an absolutely fabulous time. The Mints really enjoyed every aspect of the weekend.:scorecard::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Great scenery, great roads, great hotel, great food and of course great company. As said above this weekend will take an awful lot of beating. How Andy managed to sort the weather so we could have two top down driving day in the Lake District in April I'll never know. Also, it was good to drive some different roads round the Lakes, even some that were not actually on Andy's planned route:whistle:. The joys of SatNavs and waypoints not in quite the right place:(. So yes my group @mwpe, @PHILIP BAXTER, @Ianmc and @Nodzed drove Hardknott Pass both from East to West then again from West To East. Cracking road though so expect to see that on a future Lakes Cruise @andyglym .
As the weather was still superb today we took a longer route home via the Peaks, it was different as I'd managed to shake off the Zeds that had been following me around for two days=)).
Some photos from me, sorry some repetition but that is inevitable:whistle:

Saturday evening, sniff of the barmaids apron and hooped! To much forced induction air :arghh:
More like drinking on an empty stomach:whistle:. Affected me the same;)

Some awesome photo's there Dave @Mint. The one where we are all driving along the valley is stunning. Great job.
