We only did day 1 but were so fortunate to enjoy such a scenic drive in amazing weather. The sun shone on us all day and my solar panel on the top of my head is a little sore today

Thank you to @andyglym for planning such an amazing route and sorting the weather, and to @Stevo7682 for leading the group which is never an easy job.

Again, we did just day one, but, I have photo's of everyone leaving on day two.
Day one - none from the drive itself, but a few to start from the stop at the Sky High Cafe.

And I forgot to say the other key ingredient to a successful cruise is good company and we certainly had that this weekend.

Thank you all for making our first Lakes cruise so memorable.

I have to mention poor old Ben. He arrived with a shed load of lights on the dashboard. As a consequence, he and dad, Paul, along with passengers Sharon and Laura (I hope I got your names) all had to sit out the weekend. Hope you guys made it back to Rochdale without mishap.
I realise now I only had a pic of Ben's car - Sorry Paul

What can one say, superb weekend! A massive thanks to @Stevo7682 and @Mint for steping up to the plate to lead a group each, these things don't happen without help.



A great bunch of peeps, great hotel and food, great cars and if I say so myself, great routes A big thanks to the C-in-C who did all the hotel work

A couple of glitches with my application of appmyroute 1mm out on my phone = 1 mile out for Stephen and Dave, Dave's group did Hardknott Pass in both directions ...... every cloud

The weather was just glorious for both days with sun and roof down driving all day both says.

A couple of lycra warriors and boil in the bag soups (motor cyclists) proved to be a pain on a few occasions but hey Ho.

See you all next year, same place, same routes and dates TBN

Don’t worry about the photo. Yep we all made it Back safely. Bens car didn’t miss a beat all the way home. Just slight lack of power. Hopefully get it fixed this week.
