I found another invaluable use for the humble boot rack this afternoon, I was running short of space when I needed my cordless drill to open out some holes on a parking brake linkage. I was wondering where I could put it but the the solution was right before my eyes.:)

Tony.

ps. It's obvious now too, you have the bar at the back to stop your tools sliding off !! ;)

Agree, can't imagine why anyone would put it the other way...stops it from falling off when you pull away from the tollbooths in your grand tour through France.

Only tight gits who didn't by a model with roll hoops go on about a suitcase hitting them in the head when braking. That's what they invented hard hats for...know anybody who drives with a hard hat (and a hardtop just to be extra safe, must have been carrying TNT!)

Pulling hens teeth here , a 45 year old 'WHAT') x which mg ??
Sorry, I thought you had seen what it was. It's a '72 Midget and I'm restoring the rear brakes for it's owner. Been a struggle getting all the right parts as somewhere in it's dark past someone has "changed" a few bits. Getting there now and making good progress.

Thank you, just been having a read, must get hubby to put a thread on regarding his re commissioning of his old 1974 jalopy if anyone would be interested.

I'm sure folks would be interested Gill. I still have one more post to put up on this little project.

Yes, throw it on, it's interesting to see projects on British cars especially for me as we didn't see a lot of them over here and really never got a chance to perform much work on them. I have a 76 Mini and a 77 triumph tr7 out back to work on to get them up and running! JIM
