Welcome everyone to the Paul Rice group. Looking forward to leading the group around the magnificent Derbyshire hills.
been driving for 39 years without a speeding ticket so am i unique, a 100% law abiding citizen or just lucky?
Time and a place for speed, will leave it at that, plus i only have a little 1.9 so it will be a potter around as long as Mint's group doesn't catch us up.

Thanks Paul, I've been driving about 44 years & Jan about 40 years between us we have had,Speeding tickets,
7 for me but I did get two in one weekend :nailbiting:
(so you could take one off) as I attended a speed awareness course:whistle:
and Jan has had 5 but again attended two awareness courses so only 3 for her really,
they now send her a Xmas card every year so that's niece:)

but yet again you could say 13 tickets lets hope it's not unlucky for some=))

Bazza & Jan

(oh as for Dave he only drive's at a sedate pace:woot:)

been driving for 38 years well with a licence that is best i,ve done is 9 points & 5 months to go to wipe 3 of them out never drove so slow all got on the bike now i have a clean licence

I've been driving for 18 years and have a clean license....although I drive over the speed limit 6 days out of 10 and have set off around 80-100 speed cameras.

In my defence they're hard to spot as they come up so quickly!

Have been driving just under 40years, clean licence for me too. I don't think I'm that unique :)
Might need to have a chat with @Bazza naughty boy

I've been driving for 28 years :p
Clean licence for me too ;)
( I was stopped about this time last year for checks ) :(
But nothing wrong ;)

Yes theres runs we'd love to do but can't for one reason or another. Keep missing the new forest and south downs runs. Can't new forest new year either, don't know about the South downs yet.

Only ever got points when in a company car, and mostly in Northamptonshire who have an ungodly obsession with camera vans. Hands up though, they were all my fault... If you divide the number of points, by the million plus miles I drove while being a company car driver then I'm proportionally no higher than the average driver.

Your proportion is actually a fair point Gaz. I do 2000+ miles a week and have had 6 points in a lorry in 20+ years. When you look at it that way it's a pretty low statistic! :D

I am not doing too bad, been driving for 55 years and been caught 4 times, all since the eighties. In the early days the police were more reasonable and would have a quiet word. Once in the sixties, I was followed by a police car on the A25 for about 15 miles I thought he was never going to turn off. Eventually he overtook and stopped me, he said that he had been following me for some time and had no complaints about my driving but to be more careful about slowing down when entering a restricted area. those were the days when there were two limits 30 and 70.

Things you can do with figures and averages!
