is it really that difficult to make a programme about cars?

is it really that difficult to make a programme about cars?
Apparently, ........................ yes, it is.:(

Tony.

It just keeps on getting better. I can see this show falling apart

Oh dear. I was a big top gear fan, aquired taste I know but I liked it and was gutted when it was announced that the old format was going to Amazon Prime as I don't get it. The new format I'm happy to give a shot but Mr Evans isn't doing himself any favours in the popularity stakes with all his "big I am attitude" I think it will fall at the first hurdle to be honest.

I would agree, but will be happy to be proved wrong Dave.:)

Just speaking to a bloke who is working on the new TG and Chris Evans is a very nice bloke and so funny in the car ,I hope it comes across on the screen.Hes also just done some work on the new thing on Amazon and JC is still an s## but there you go

i think its VERY difficult to live up to the hype and audience that TG had built. shame because its great to have decently filmed car stuff on the tv but if this fails the BBC might lose confidence and stop doing it.

Was that JC Hugh?;). Evans may well be a good bloke in real life as your mate says, it just doesn't come accross like that to me on TV. more like an arrogant toss pot, just like JC! And if the report was true, is he really that close the Matt LeBlanc, " Do we really need him?" Maybe he's two faced as well.

What!! A Top Gear presenter with an ego the size of a small planet......whatever next???

It's deja vu all over again!! :p

So, he treats them all like s*** then?;)=)) I look forward to liking the show, just hope I do.

I am still waiting for that lovely little German Lady to whip the gingers arse around the circuit.. that will be fun.. =))

the frauline is a fair tool
I'm sure she has been described as many things in her life, but a fair tool!! :)

TG will not be the same as before, and it should not be. What ever the show ends up being it will take a while to settle down, as did the first versions of the original TG. As Taylor swift says, the Haters gonna Hate, Hate, Hate, Hate, Hate, Hate.

I think a lot of the media hype is because the media just do not know, what they don't know they make up! The line up of presenters looks good to me, varied and interesting.

It's also been reported that James Martin has resigned from Saturday Kitchen because BBC bosses blocked his request to go and work on Top Gear

Chris Evans is a 'timebomb', says comedian Bob Mortimer as he calls on BBC boss to stick to pledge about 'talent abusing power'
The Shooting Stars host made the comments after claims that Evans's tyrannical behaviour on the set of Top Gear had forced executive producer Lisa Clark to quit the show.

It came amid revelations that fellow employees had accused Evans of being a 'control freak who thinks he can trample over everyone'.
Mortimer, 56, had also branded Evans a 'c***' last month when the new Top Gear line-up was unveiled. He later deleted the tweet.

So, taking that and Hugh's acquaintance's comments together, he must be a Jeckyll and Hyde type of character.
