Hello,

I wandered in here from the other side of the road to see what all the noise was.

I obtained my 2001 M43 in a sort of free deal when my wife bought another BMW and this one came with it. It was in a very sorry state and I've been fettling, as I love a good fettle, for a couple of months now. So much fettling has gone on that it may even stand a chance of passing its forthcoming MOT.... I mean it does have one currently, but I'm pretty sure that was issued by Stevie Wonder.

I'm one of many here it seems based in Herts.

You won't find anyone on here look down their noses at what you've got.

Hi Wookee and welcome from me in Hertfordshire (Hemel) give us a clue where in Herts you are, then may be we could come and have a look and a chat. There's not many of us in Herts but we get together with a scruffy lotfrom Aylesbury to make up the numbers,we even get some from the Basinstoke area when we're really hard up. Hope you get your Z to how you like it and enjoy some likewise company at one of our meets.

By "other side of the road" I meant .net where I have a long restoration thread going. Which has just reached the end of the oily bits stage and now I have a rear window to repair properly and a door card to fit.

Then I'm going to go on a track and probably be going back to the oily bits stage....
