The Fish are Jumping

I saw this video last night when I went to my cousin's house. Her son knows some of the guys that were there. They don't say in the video where this is but I was told that this was on Long Beach Island near Seaside, NJ about a half hour north of me. Apparently this happens on several occasions where the bait fish we call bunkers come in to the shore and the Striped Bass (Stripers) follow them in and go on a feeding frenzy. The guy that took this video was surf fishing and had an underwater camera. At one point he has his hand in the water and a Striper (which has no teeth) actually bites his finger thinking it's a fish. Frankie

OK Frankie, I made 0:50 on that vid......Next time Miller is over, I will get him to chuck a Piranha in your bath tub while you are still in it, that should make for a really good vid....

We have a simar scenario on the south coast when schools of whitebait fish are herded into the shore by Mackerel. It happened when I was on holiday down there this summer.
