Maybe you heard about.
I discovered a Bucharest edition will be open too this year.

It’s a bikers parade made with classic and historical bikes , found raising for men mental health’s and supporting against prostate and testicular cancer, depression and suicidal tendencies , that world wide kills a man every minute :(.

An elegant dress code is required, together with a gentleman attitude.;)

I will dedicate my participation to a very dear friend, I would say an important member of our forum, who fought with similar problem, teach us to be brave and search and care about our health and gave me the necessary courage to get the motorcycle driver license and ride motorcycle, at my age!

…And to all ladies and gentlemen who fought with health problems of any kind and still follow their dream! , which suits to most of our members here on Zorg.:)

This summer I graduated the motorcycle driving school and passed the theoretical test. The closed perimeter driving test and the open traffic test are scheduled for September 27 (finger crossed!).

Due to the fact that THE DISTINGUISHED GENTLEMAN'S RIDE will take place on September 24th, I will participate with one of my moped collection, a dear DKW Hummel 1964. I hope I’ll keep up with “the big boys” until next year, when I wish to participate with my Triumph 500 CTT 1929.

That looks a great event Dan, enjoy and don't forget some photos:thumbsup:

I love that bike. Good luck with the event and don't forget to let us know how you get on.

What a great little bike. I learned to ride on something very similar back in 1964, but mine was a Kreidler.

Kreidler and DKW were both from West Germany at the time. And both very efficient and reliable. With only 2 HP and three gears , bring alot of fun at 20-25 mph!
Me too I love it!:)

Well, it was a gorgeous September sunny day, with a perfect company!
About 150 riders and as usual (almost) , I was the slowest...:D
We raised some funds that we're proud and I met people with the same addiction, which is great!
I ride with the group and have to tell you that's a wonderful feeling to be inside the beehive and smell and hear so many roaring engines in the same time!
My Hummel (Bumble bee) follow the group for about 15 km, when at the open road I was to slow to pursuit them.
Few pics for the 2wheeler fan's:

Some great pictures of a lift day by the look of it Dan. Beautiful here near Lincoln today.

Tony.

Hurrah. Gold Wing caferacer. Not seen one of those for a while, and was quite happy that way.:) Remember seeing two of them at Brands Hatch many years ago and admiring the bravery of anyone who wanted to ride one. That's a hell of a lot to have hanging on the end of a pair of clip-ons.

Some beautiful bike @Zeti :p
Glad you had a good day ;)

Some great bikes there Dan. I love Vee twin café racers and bobbers, and the old GL1000 Goldwing brought back a few memories.

Here's me back in 1995 on my old steed, a 1978 GL1000 K2. I sold the old girl about 10yrs ago.

I've still got a bike though, a 1988, 650 Honda Bros a nice little vee twin that hopefully will turn into a café racer like the one below

Really hope mine turns out as nice as this one

Me and Sara came across a large group of bikers today Dan who were all doing there bit for the this very cause. They certainly looked distinguished and it was so nice to them dressed so well.
We were at a motor museum in South Yorkshire when we saw them.
Good luck with your ride and raising money .

Steve.

@Jack Ratt the nipon bikes of 70s are really beautiful bikes and despite the carburetor, still very reliable! They have also a very good balance for pearl paint and chrome, a real eye catcher! Happy to hear that you keep the project going! Wish you good luck and want to see the progress!

Maybe I exagerated a little bit, but my intention was to push the young generation to another level. Who knows, maybe it will work!

I believe the Sunday ride was a good sign for the great result of Today:
I passed the traffic test for my motorcycle driving license and now I'm (finally:)) a biker with full rights!
40 years I waited for this moment!;)
Rare happy moments of our life!
Better late than never...:)

Well done Dan, many congratulations
@Tony Wilson is currently doing the same thing here in the UK.

Tony.

Thank you Tony!
It was a great challenge and most of the people told me that is too late to do it, but that made me more decided to do that. Everybody, from examiner, teacher and students were much more younger than me; most of them younger than my son's! And now I feel great.
Wish to @Tony Wilson and anybody else doing that, the same good luck and fingers crossed!
