Yep it was in the bathroom this morning with what I thought was an onslaught of the common cold, but then after brushing my teeth and asking the wife if she’s changed our regular toothpaste because I couldn’t taste it that I thought I better get tested. So there you have it, apart from a headache coming on later and blocked sinuses a bit more of my usual morning cough I’m hoping it doesn’t get worse. Told the good lady I’d go into the spare bedroom wear a mask and gloves but it really isn’t feasible not when you’ve just celebrated your golden wedding anniversary. So she said she’d pack a bag to last ten days which I thought was very considerate of her to go stay at my oldest daughters when she said you’ll not need your electric razor as your lockup has no power, then finished with hope you and your new car are happy together.
Stay safe everyone of you out there because it’s the unseen enemy that you just might not see that‘ll take you by surprise. Double jabbed so fingers crossed. Have no idea at all where I might have caught it from as we’ve not been out much at all . Keeping my spirits up.

10 days self isolation without the missus, and with a newly purchased car?

Here’s hoping you only have very mild symptoms Roy so look after yourself whilst isolating and might be worth getting tested Tony.
 
Bloody hell Roy a few days of happiness with the new Z4 then life throws a curb ball.
Life is a bi*** but always light at the end of the tunnel, less some Bas***d turns the light out

Thanks people for the kind remarks, just sitting here with probably the equivalent of the worst cold virus I can remember but won't be phased unless it goes down into my chest. So far cold and flu remedies are helping, unrelenting headache has finally wained and will hopefully feel a bit better tomorrow. Wife's had no symptoms yet.

Roy, serious bit first, get well soon and hope it is a light case and you have not spread to the Mrs.

The really serious bit now, 10-days "isolation" with your new car, yeeeha!

Mind you, if you believe all the crap the media spout your Z will be coughing and wheezing by the end of the week as well and will need to be double injected (hang on, it has had 6 already so maybe it will be OK! or am I getting confused with injectors?).

Gov & Media say, "Everybody has to be double jabbed to halt the spread of the virus", and yet you have it and need to isolate to stop spreading it - right.......

You must not get me started on all of this, having had three "non-essential" operations cancelled during early 2020. I only had a lump of Bowel Cancer the size of a Golf Ball removed when they eventually got me into hospital, but at least I did not catch the Flu (sorry C-19).

With such a long winded and nice reply to my post I just had to say thank you Mr P.(Sandy). Know exactly where your comming from. ;) Hope your feeling better too after a nearly disastrous round of golf.:facepalm:

Think I might have fell in at last Tony. Yes is the answer, but we now have two dinner plates since we bought another last week so no longer have to share. That means I didn't catch it off of the good lady and have halved her chances of catching it off me.=))

Always hated Golf!!!

Funny thing was with the Cancer, I was never sick just strange bleeding, once operated upon I needed no Chemo etc. and I recovered really quickly apart from a short problem adjusting diet to suit.
