Our "local" Chippy has had a Face-lift on the side of the building recently. Shirl spotted it last Friday when she went to the Docs.

Tony.

Engine No. 60103? That would be the Flying Scotsman?

I'm not a train buff but the bottom of my garden is against the railway line that goes up the wales/england border - south wales, hereford, shrewsbury etc. There's often old steam trains chuffing up the line with old carriages, little table lamps on each table etc. Maybe day trips out from Bristol to hereford or something like that for the train buffs.

Anyway. Long story short. Few years ago the flying scotsman was doing a tour of the UK on its way to its current museum location. It was scheduled to go past the bottom of my garden and I was stood down there with me phone in me pocket ready to snap a snap as it went past. Doing a bit of gardening while waiting. I hear a train coming but it sounded like a diesel so just carried on weeding - the the scotsman went past. No steam. :( It was being pushed by a diesel. Bah! so didn't get the picture.

I see that a lot. Nice old steam train going past with old carriages full of smiling, waving train buffs . . . No steam. Being pushed along by a diesel. If I was a train buff spending money on a steam ticket I'd feel cheeted if they steamed out of Bristol then snuck (sneeked?) a diesel on the back to push me along the rest of the way.

Anyway. Ignore my whinge - that's a nice wall Tony. I love it when they do that to the side of bland buildings.
