I was watching car s.o.s the other night and when they did the big reveal near the end, to return the restored car back to the owner, they used the above place.
It looked a good place to visit for any petrol head, so I looked up where it was. It turns out I'd been just about past the place several times in the past and didn't know it was there .
It's in Hepworth, near Holmfirth. The roads and scenery around there are excellent.
Any way it's a motor museum, a working garage, vintage clothing shop and a café. All based on the 60's era, with the waitresses dressed to suit the theme.
The car park was quite busy when we got there, with all manor of cars and bikes but we got parked next to one of my favourite cars :D.

This beast was started up and driven to be displayed outside whilst we were sat in the café next door, sounded like a dozen speedway bikes all running at the same time......lovely :)

All in all a really enjoyable day, this place is well worth a visit.

Was Daisy Duke there? Did you get some pics? !!!=))=))

Seriously Steve, looks like nice day out does that. Seen that "Cobra" before somewhere, might have been at Newark.

Tony.

No Daisy Duke I'm afraid mate :(, now there was a sight to brighten up a dull weekend back in the day . But if you were there you could have been a stand in for Cooter .

Been here with the car club, really interesting place. The tour of all the cars under restoration with commentary and stories by the garage owner.
Breakfast was good also.
Was talk of them moving to a bigger place

Better that than Roscoe. Peeeeeeeeee. Coltraine yuk yuk.

Tony.

Yes it is moving location but they don't say where to yet Paul, apparently they'll update on Facebook.
A guided tour must good as you say, the café was heaving today and we were lucky to get a table.
A big group of bikers turned up , they were doing a charity ride and they were all dressed in 60's attire, they all looked very dapper indeed.

Looks like a fun day out :p
I'd really enjoy it ;)
Especially looking at all the retro clothes etc :)

Could be worth looking at organising something if enough interest? I think you need a group of at least 10. We had to be there for a pre arranged time before the public opening time for breakfast then the tour. We followed up with a drive round the peaks.

I agree there Paul and we thought the same thing. What was the cost per person for the guided tour when you went with a club ?.

It was much better than I thought Steve, the place just has a good feel about it.
Was good to see you again yesterday mate, hope you didn't get any rain on your way home ?.
I did have to pull over and get the roof up but hey I had a nice day out in the Zed

The tour was free just the Breakfast to pay for. The tours have to be booked and are not always available. Happy to make enquiries next year if we get enough interest.
