Went via Llangollen and Betwys y coed, stopped off at this lovely place for a picnic.

The scenery is just stunning through Snowdonia even at this time of year.
After some light refreshement we continued on towards the Menai Straight crossing and took the A545 to Beaumaris,a lovely coast road then back over to the A5025 on the east side of the island to Amlwch for our overnight stay.

The view from our room was quite nice

Had the roof down all day once we got off the A50 dual carriage way but a coat and hat was needed to keep the chill at bay,it was about 8 degrees.
The area we were in is called Bull Bay and well worth a visit, had a nice meal at a restaurant only ten minutes walk away from the b and b :hungry:.
Couldn't wait for the next day to come around so didn't sleep too good  but Saturday morning soon came round with the syn shining and no rain  so after a cooked brekky we continued our tour of anglesey :rally:.........after a few pics

I had heard how good the race track was at Anglesey so we thought why not stop by there but there was an endurance race going on so we didn't go into the circuit :(......£15 entry fee each, only wanted to have a nosy round and a cuppa.

WP_20161112_10_55_08_Pro.jpg

Some absolutely fab roads and they were mostly deserted

Bloody 4 quid to park there........robbing b******s . I did try to barter the price with guy taking the money.......i said look ere boyo we only have two seats so it should be half price.......he replied it's always the people with flash cars that try it on,and grabbed my fiver :wideyed:......well I guess it was worth the compliment :D.

On from there back into Snowdonia on the A4085 which has a few lakes along it and the Ffestiniog railway runs beside it

Cut across the A498 to pick up the A4086 and A5 back the way we came through Betwys y Coed and Llangollen

But before heading home I said shall we visit the Ponderosa and Worlds End ? Surprisingly Sara said yes, even though it was starting to get dark :)

It's a lovely part of the country. We spent a lot of time there when our kids were young and we had a static caravan on the north Wales coast.....no Z in those days though.

Was good to get away on the spur of the moment Steve,a builder mate of mine died recently after battling cancer for 18 months, only 63 years old so I thought just do these things whilst we can.
No didn't see our mate @Redline unfortunately, hoped he might be there at the ready armed with his camera :snaphappy::whistle:.

What a good run out you've had;). Looks like the weather was on-side for you, better than where we were. I reckon Anglesey will have to be on our list now, years since we've been there. We always tend go off to Llandudno as a spur of the moment thing but Anglesey is not that much further. Great pics again:thumbsup:
