The being at home positivity thread!

@Antm72 - I made two changes, eat less & exercise more. Bought a fitbit, aimed for 10000 steps a day and struggled through. My mainstay now is walking & cycling.

Injuries have been a problem along the way, had some physio and chiropractic adjustment which have really helped. I'm just glad I decided to do this before I hit 50, although I'm well ahead of the plan as I'm "fit" at 47.

Same kind of boat as me mate i hit 48 this year and i average about 10-15k steps aday. Leave yhe van at home and now cycle.
My wife tends to be a feeder =)) She cooks for 4 eats a child portion and gives me a mountain !If i stop eating she asks whats wrong with it :arghh:
Told her it has to stop as its eating fir the sake of eating.
Losing on average 1/2 to 1lb aday at present but doing heavy work.

My mainstay eating is a meal replacement shake called Huel, and that initially helped me get to grips with calorie counting and intake. Fills me up so I generally felt less hungry. Had that for breakfast and lunch then a "normal" evening meal, but smaller portion.

The last 6 months I've been intermittent fasting on a 16:8 pattern, meaning I only eat between 11am and 7pm every day - nothing outside that time just water or black coffee. Got a great mobile app called Zero which keeps track of everything for me. Biggest thing was that it stopped me eating in the evenings, but also promoted a more consistent eating pattern. I generally eat the same amount of calories as before, although I generally feel less hungry most of the time anyway. Quite often get past 11am and don't feel hungry.

Well with the eggs the ducks loving supply and the fact that I can not drop any off.. I just had to make a great classic lemon sponge. @spurs fan in a coupe can mock all he wants. My ducks are egg layers and not for eating. You listen @Nodzed ... @mid life crisis

@Nodzed Gary has tasted how good free range duck eggs are compared to supermarket eggs. What can I say apart from you keep taking the P boy.. nowt for you .

And before anybody says anything. We all get along fine, the banter is what keeps us all going. And right now it’s very needed.

I spent the day cutting the grass at a community garden, easy to keep away from others. I was paid up until last year to cut it as I was part of the grounds team of the local council. They have all refused to work more than 4 hours a week even though there is plenty they can do alone and away from anyone. I left after my whistleblowing led to three successful prosecutions involving someone involved with the council. I am now doing there work for free =))=))=)) BTY the council wasn't Dunstable where I live , they are fantastic.
