The Beast is going back home.

Wow, never thought I'd read this news Roy:(, must have been a hard decision to let her go back to Lee. Like Bazza I was also lucky to have a drive of the coupe (just before you took ownership) chasing following @mwpe round some Scottish roads, great fun.
Hope you get a new Zed soon:thumbsup:
Thank you Dave, yes it would've been an even harder decision if I was leaned on by the wife but apart from her seeing a white e85 roadster last year she hasn't had any input at all. She couldn't believe it was the same car but with a soft top saying "oooh I like that". So after nearly 3yrs two fines and a course I decided the best way to keep my licence and on the road was to get a car that she might even get in and travel in with me. That way I wouldn't have to keep disguising myself when we went out together in the Fiat 500c. Lol. Never really been mine, (that beast) so the best place for it is back with @Lee. After all that car had so much work done before I got it I just knew what a safe buy it would be and has proved to be exactly that.

PS, best little pocket rocket I've ever owned, handles better than my old tarmac spec Mk1 escort rs 2000.

It’s going back for a rest Niall!

Tony.
I really believe Lee is probably the only one who can get everything out of it and probably more. Think the beast has had a well deserved 3yr break as much as I think It suited me well. Of course it goes without saying Ill miss it like hell but all good things have got to come to an end. How the hell can I replace something that handles as well as that without selling my house to buy a Aston DBR. ( thinking the beast could stay with most round the twisties in the right hands @Lee )

Yeah last time I saw the coupe it looked like it had been through the ringer =))
The only reason you thought that is because of the add ons you really didn't approve of. It's never been through the ringer as I've cleaned it myself and never taken it to the car washers, ugly it may have been with my add ons but you started me off by adding the spoiler. =))

Still haven't got a pic of me in it can you believe, but I got this one to be enlarged to poster size for OUR bedroom.

Knew when I read it back that I'd given someone an opportunity to add to it. The wife loves the idea of the huge poster as I now sleep in the lockup ever since I bought the coupe. Be so glad to get back in the house, roll on tomorrow.=))

WOW! I didn’t see this coming!!! Quite a surprise!

I’m Z-less Dawn but hopefully not for long. Now I’ve had the chance to own one of BMWs totally underrated cars and certainly in my book the best looking so I’ve achieved what I always wanted ever since laying eyes on one in London back in 2006. Sad maybe now it’s gone but looking forward to finding a e85 roadster 3.0i auto and getting some more Z mls under my belt.

Was great to catch-up with you Roy, and was a fantastic nostalgic run back to Basingstoke. Managed to grab a bit of wheel time and had forgotten how well the car is sorted and how much that exhaust pops 'n bangs! To your credit the car was in better nick than when you bought it (sorry Lee!). Can't wait to see what you replace it with, and how quickly you get it fettled in to top condition :)
