Well, some will say that the 3.0 Z3 is as fast as the ///M in real World driving If that's the case buy a 2.8 which is closer to the 3.0 than the 3.0 is to the ///M so the 2.8 is obviously as fast as the ///M

There are those that say the 2.2 is as fast as the 2.8 which is the same as the 3.0 which is the same as the ///M so the 2.2 is as fast as the ///M

There are those that say that the 2.0 is as fast as the 2.2 in real World driving which is as fast as the 2.8 which is as fast as the 3.0 which is as fast as the ///M so the 2.0 is as fast as the ///M

There are those that say that the 1.9 M44 is as fast as the 2.0 which is as fast as the 2.2 which is fast as the 2.8 which is as fast as the 3.0 which is as fast as the ///M

Conclusion: The 1.9M44 is as fast as the ///M

Add in the 2.3, 2.5 and S52 ///M for the US market. Oh, this is humour (humor for those on the other side of the pond) Conclusive?

I think there was actually very little in pure BHP terms between the first American Z3M (S52, 240bhp) and the 3.0 (230bhp). But no doubt other things that made the M quicker (gearbox?)

The S52 doesn’t count as a proper M engine though, S50 and S54 are 300 +
