UK South East based and a Z3 owner. Interested in learning more from others, especially where to get Classic car insurance cheaply.

Hi and :welcome: from Surrey, whereabouts in the southeast are you. It is worth shopping around the classic insurers, several will give you a good price, I am with Classiline at the moment.

:welcome: TBH I have always got better deals with main stream insurance companies and found the so called classic firms a bit of a RIP off and darn expensive.

Welcome to the Forum. I've copied a post I did on Z3 M Coupe Forum when someone asked about classic car insurance.

"As already mention it's nigh on impossible to recommend a particular insurer as things are so different for each company - ie agreed value, mileage, dashcams, modifications etc.
However I can give a list of companies I've used over the last 15years.
Elephant x 3 years
Adrian Flux x 3 years
Saga x 2 years
Brentarce x 4 years
Manning x 2 years
Adrian Flux x 2 years (current insurance - £240 + £15 for agreed BMWCC value)
I've also tried Classic Line, Footman James & BMWCC Insurance to get comparisons at various times.
Hope this helps."

As already mentioned above sometimes even mainstream companies can give you a good quote, maybe as an introduction offer.
All you can do is get busy ringing up for quotes.
