is the tail pipe remove able on my 1997 z3 its the oval type seam to be either rusted on or fixed

Some have a screw holding them on and others a rivet, but in most cases will usually be rusted on or full of muck. Get underneath and see if you can see which you have! You can try using a block of wood on the back and hammer them gently.
