As some of you will be aware it's my 60th birthday in October and Shirl has been trying to come up with a surprise special present wilth some help from Dave @Grumpy . Remember a couple of weeks ago " What's your all time favourite car?" trying to hire something for a couple of days while we're in Florida, only I wasn't very helpful.:( and neither were the prices :eek:
Last night I was watching one of the local Orlando news channels to see what was happening on the Tropical storm front when I saw an advert for a world famous Star who's appearing for 1 (ONE) night in Orlando on the 8th. Oct. He was appearing in Las Vegas a few years ago at the Wynn, when we were there but he was fully booked up, no big surprise. So, I mentioned this to Shirl, who disappeared into the office and came out with a piece of paper, saying this person?? She's only gone and got some tickets!!!
I know some of you won't be fans but this guy is a BIG star and puts on a fantastic show. I won't tell you yet who he is but I will say when we go and see him, we won't be " going down till the sun comes up!! " Someone is going to know.:):):)

Well spotted Bill, can't believe Shirl managed to get tickets. We're going with some friends who're over there and going from their villa in a taxi into Orlando so no one has to drive through the chaos on I4.

He "retired" 20 odd years ago to raise his kids out of the spot light and let them have as near a normal childhood as possible, taking a chance on coming back to the business and people still remembering him, so he gets my vote as an OK guy. The fiddle player in the band is Jimmy Mattingley he's awesome too.

Me and Shirl exchanged several emails regarding trying to hire him a dream car but we couldn't pull it off, when I starting fishing I asked him "what would be his favourite car if money was no object"? He came back with something like a 1983 ford fiesta carousel!!!! I can't take an credit for this but I'm certain Tony will gave a great night watching Garth Brookes doing his stuff. Your only 60 once, have a smashing time mate! :thumbsup:

Never heard of him. Just wasted 4:30 min of my life watching that vid.....:(
