A bimble around South Wingfield and to Crich Stand, a few years since been up there. I believe it is the country's only inland lighthouse. Was out of service some years but back illuminating the night sky once more.
In this last photo from the top can be seen a tram (at 3 o'clock position) heading down the track back to the main terminus at Crich Tramway Museum which is next door to Crich Stand.
A truly balmy afternoon lazing in the calm of a sun drenched day with not so much as a breeze to move the flags, the usual sarnies and flask to hand. Been a good 2 weeks of weather, April can quite often be one of the best months.
