out for a spin on sunday even though it was a tad nippy

My Zed is still undergoing repair but hopefully will be back in action before Christmas. I finish work tomorrow night until the new year so will finally be able to get stuck into it.
The refurbed cylinder head is now on, and will refurb and refit the vanos this weekend. If all goes to plan I should have her running again sometime next week.
Also fitted new water pump, new drive belts and tensioner pulleys.

I'll put some photos of the progress on my "Euro disaster" thread over the weekend.

Just retired from active service and awaiting pampering ready for cold crisp sunny days out prior to spring. Pictured with my usual trademark odd wheels :)

OMG :arghh: I'll be down with my pressure washer, snow foam and Autoglym in a minute :woot:

Now that sounds a plan Andy, I'll get the kettle on and a tot of whisky to fortify matters - might even run to some Maltesers :D

I've never understood why one would leave the car for so long, why not just leave the battery connected and run the car weekly just to keep everything lubed and doing what it should be doing.
Don't like the salt mate. Drys everything out and rots cars. This will be the 5th winter I've done this and it's never caused me a problem. I cant afford to replace the zed so keeping it out the salt will help prolong it's life span.

I don't mean take it out mate, just run it up to temp and move it backward and forwards to get the oils circulating in the diff and gearbox

I was told it's a bad idea to just run it stood in winter, just better to let it stand? I can feel a thread coming.
