What do you do when you don't have a garage and you want to paint your disc's.
Convert the summer house, its only used for stacking chairs and more recently storing various Z3 parts. Its quite cosy really, could do with a Heater and possibly a bit of music but sure i can sort that.
After the discs looks a good candidate to use for renovating the seats.

That's a good idea I'm struggling for garage room but I do have a garden cabin doing nothing , not sure the dog will be happy mind ;)

Did my seats in the summer house along with some suspension parts. Its called the summerhouse its really my parts store and tool shed

Small Summer Houses and spray booths – an interesting combo! While a dedicated booth might be overkill for small summer houses, I could see it working for those weekend touch-up projects. It would definitely keep the overspray contained and protect your precious summer retreat from fumes.

Thinking outside the box, a pop-up tent could be a temporary solution for those occasional spray jobs. They're relatively inexpensive and fold down for easy storage. Just make sure there's proper ventilation to avoid inhaling fumes.

If you're considering a more permanent setup, converting a shed into a spray booth might be a cost-effective option. Insulation, ventilation, and proper lighting are key here. It all depends on how often you plan to use the booth and the size of your projects.

What do you all think? Have any of you tried makeshift spray booths in your summer houses?

A friend used a large gazeebo with sides as a spray booth, when he painted his car. Results were pretty good too

Good shout. You can actually buy tents specifically for painting, my brother just got one for spraying his bike parts. Similar in form/function to camping tent, but taller and much cheaper cos not as robust (i.e. waterproof)

Bit larger than a shed, but same principle. A bit of polythene dust-sheet and tape to line everything and a bloody massive fan.

It's a bot, Toby. Don't reply to these.

True - forgot to check their join date and post count.

They are getting good though, can nearly have a sensible conversation with em

Whenever I see a car program on the telly and for whatever reason you see an inside shot of a spray booth I expect it to be a myriad of colours but invariably its all white.

How come?

Hi, I have just come across your build thread, as I am mid way through my own 250 Tribute build I thought that I would become a member myself. You seem to have done a great job with yours, and I have found your build thread very interesting and well written. Can I just ask you if you had any problems with the door skins hitting the bonnet hinges when fully opened?

I'm building 507 kit and yes the door skin does hit the hinge. Inside the door is that rod thing that connects to the a pillar to stop the door opening too far. You need to get into the door and take out that rod and put it back in with a big nut or something on the back plate simply reducing the amount the door can swing open.

Not a very good angle but I hope you see whatbI mean.
