Ordered a set of aftermarket fog lamps which supposedly come with a one year warranty from eBay. Now we all know once the 60 day feedback period is over most sellers will try very hard not to honour that warranty as there is very little you can do once this period is over.
Anyway, after opening the package, as excited as I was I quickly came to realise that they were a pile of crap.
Sealant at the top of the lens isn't distributed equally with some areas that have no sealant and so would let water in.
The black plate inside the lens which holds the bulb is missing in one lamp and on the other lamp it's damaged.
The lens themselves have a chip in them.
And this is on supposedly brand new fog lamps!
I'm not being fussy am I?!
I ordered a set a year ago for the project from China which were quite good, not oem quality but very close, this I bought from a UK seller and the quality is absolutely appalling
Here's the listing. What I find interesting is that the item location is the UK, however clicking on the sellers profile it says based in China, wonder how that works.

I've sent the seller a message, now we wait for the reply...
Anyway I've sourced a pair of genuine OEM fog lamps from an early E39 that I'll be picking up this weekend.
