Flight to San Diego/return New York £565 I could spring for that.But and there is always a but I'm off for a couple of hospital visits next week and for the rest of the month.but Frankie will probably do this only once,I could cancel hospital till I get back .Man it's a tough one.......
If hospital tests/visits can wait and Sarah and the rest of family are okay with Hugh I would go for it. Hell, it's like the return story of Crocodile Dundee going over to New York crossed with Thelma and Louise !! AND Frankie's on home turf this time.lol

Hugh, if I had even the slightest chance of being able to make a trip like this right now I'd do it. I can understand your hesitation, but if you can safely postpone the appointments that is one potentially memorable & awesome road trip, and with Frankie to keep you company too!
Best to get her blessing before hitting pay it button, but I get the feeling Sarah will appreciate the uniqueness of the situation and as Tony says if your visits aren't urgent it's a chance of a lifetime. JIM
Your probably right Sarah would understand ,but do I want to put her through more stuff it's easy for me to play the C card but I'm nothing without my support.Im already book to go to France in May and off to see Zeti in Romania in September just come back from Iceland,it's lambing time and I've got the builders in...thats my head talking

Just for the hell of it, see what it would run to fly round trip to NYC or better yet PHL. I could pick you up if you're here right away or leave right from Philly to San Diego. I can understand where you are coming from mate, we had similar choices to make back in the 90's.and to a lesser degree since 2008. Just one question though do you plan on having 2 goes at this life?

You're a lucky man Hugh to have such strong support and I'm sure you need to protect that but I'm also certain Sarah also has a strong constitution and support system herself.
