Took the Zed out for a trip to see what the latest is with the tank straps......and while this is taking time to sort, there is progress. They have managed to make some blanks that replicate the profile of the main part of the strap and it gives it a lot more strength. The end pieces which are thicker metal are out being laser cut and then will only require bending. One of the profiled blanks had been bent to match the smaller of the straps. This could mean that the smaller strap may be not too far away.
I know this is taking longer than I had hoped but as they have not charged me for any of this prototyping ( yet) , I cant really moan.

After that, rather than drive straight back, went out for a run in the sun. :coolsteer)
Stopped at a tearoom in West Dean ( only knew of it because @Alan Slade and Maxine took us there on a previous run out),

Then onto the top of the South Downs by Goodwood Race Track

Then home.....:):)

Good news on the straps.
Thanks for all the effort you are putting in as it sounds as if quite a few members on here are going to benefit from all you are doing.
It is true enthusiasts such as you doing things like this which make this forum such an amazing place and helps to keep all our zeds on the road.
