Talking to my neighbour shortly after i showed him the picture.
He told me it was a cloud :whistle::whistle::whistle:

A rare sight nowadays. I'm sure you'll see plenty in the coming months!

A few of those about today and will disappear later tonight.

Shoosh Dave I'm trying not to think about that and enjoy this spell of actual summer weather during the actual summer a rare combination.

I joked with someone about six weeks ago on a nice sunny day that that was summer, so make the most of it. Glad if was wrong.

The forecast is showing sunny and mid 20s for another two weeks!
A cloud or two will be welcome!

A cloud.......is that where all the internet stuff is stored????

For those of you old enough to remember the roastingly hot summer of 1976, I get a feeling that this year may be the same. For you youngsters, it was a grim winter and wet spring, just like this year. Then the sun came out in June and it didn't go away until September. 30 degrees every day. Water shortages everywhere. Fingers crossed my hunch is right....

We’re got a thunderstorm yellow weather warning for next week , but I’m not surprised with all the lovely weather we’re having.
I can remember the summer of 1976 the tar on the roads was melting, it was so hot :p

............... and Ladybower reservoir was almost empty ............ and I was only 20, ................. and I'm not now:(

Tony.

Remember that one well, living out in Germany at the time and was hotter there than back here. You wouldn't believe the amount of fires started out on the ranges by live firing exercises, and the way that "those in charge" decided it would be a good idea to carry on shooting. And this wasn't little pop-gun stuff, this was Chieftain. Proper man-size guns on them.;)

It's a small world, i was in Germany in 1976 for half of that summer, Rheindahlen, then 'Dad' got posted back to England spend the second half of the summer
on Salisbury plain, that was hot and teribbly boring being stuck in the middle of nowhere.
