Stiff gear change

There are shift/detent pin kits for the ZF gear boxes as they have a problem with the liners/bearings expanding, causing the stiff shifts. The Getrag gear boxes do not have shift/detent pin kits as they don't have the same problem.

@Nodzed your Z3M has the ZF gear box the OP has a Getrag gear box.
I think it's just an oil issue as when it warms up it eases up

There will be a sticker one the side of the 'box that tells you what oil it needs. Orange, green....

It also depends on build date.

Hi all , I've just had a new clutch fitted and although my gear change was never great it feels very stiff .. any ideas what to do?
Update .... Just changed the oil ( original looked brand new) but changed and oiled the linkages and it's quite a bit better ... Not as good as my fn2 but better ..

Change the Diff oil as well, that will be fill for life in it so a refresh is a good idea. When you do it have a new sealing washer ready as they are alloy and will have corroded away and in need of replacement after you put the new oil in. Mine was turning to Lace when I changed mine.
