Afternoon fine people,

After my joyous introduction into trackdays, it has highlighted some small niggles on my otherwise glorious Z3. Specifically the average brake pads I have currently fitted and more importantly the soft twisty nature of my front end.
Having read some rather useful articles on here regarding bushes. I'll start there.
Now having been bred in the North East of Scotland, living in North Lincolnshire and working in Yorkshire. You could say I'm a little tight. Stereotypes aside I like a bargain.
This brings me onto Powerflex. A fine company bringing stiff cars to many. I have purchased from these before having fitted some to my Smart Roadster back in the day. But they are a tad pricey.
I've come across some companies on my search for cheap but not crap products. One that has peaked my interest for me is the link below:

https://floflex.co.uk/product-category/bmw/z3/

With these guys I can get a whole front end kit for around £70

I'm interested if anybody has sampled there products previously..and hopefully can report back great things. If so I too will be enjoying a stiff Z3.

Chris, I have some Z3 lollipop brackets stripped and painted ready for poly bushes. You're welcome to have a pair if you let me have the old ones so I can strip and paint them for the next person.

Tony.

Oh that's very generous of you.
Do you have a time limit in mind as it'll take me at least a couple of weeks to get round to starting on the car with it being X mas and what not.

No rush mate. I have 3 of one side and 2 of the other (not sure which and it's cold outside;)) but I'll keep a pair on one side.

Tony.

Ant found a different supplier. I got my Z4 front bushes from them. They're in my build thread.

I couldn’t remember the name off hand Chris and was heading out. I’m happy with mine.

Sounds like a run over to Torksey may be imminent.

hmmm. I'm watching this with interest as I reckon a few of my bushes on my Z3 are due a replacement. I looked at the Powerflex bushes and thought they seemed expensive for a bit of PU.

With the Duraflex wasn’t there some fettling required with the bush inserts @Sean d may have been the rear subframe ones though.

I ordered a complete set from Strongflex a set is about £175 Bushes appear good quality but not fitted yet.
Yes, I had to cut 10mm off the inner sleeves of the main beam bushes

I used Strongflex as seemed the best value for money at the time. Rear end bushes fitted and made quite a difference, front will be done this winter.

The strangest thing. They've emailed me to say they are refunding me. I never cancelled the order.....:shifty:
I have to say that if I had the rear apart again I wouldn't use them as they are very noisy, not so much when I drive the car but when I jack it up it creaks and groans, a bit like me when I get up

Well perhaps I'll try an alternative. Depends on their response as I've asked why they are refunding me.
After reading everybody's views. I won't be paying for Powerflex. An alternative company seems perfectly ok.
