Stereo plug removal

Just tried to remove the cd radio from my z3, got the radio out but cannot fathom how you remove the plug, watched 2/3 American videos and saw how you prize up the clip (which eventually snapped) and the “just” remove the plug. That doesn’t happen. Any ideas?

That’s one of the videos I watched. But the plug doesn’t “just” pull out. I guess I have to prize it somewhere but not sure where. Don’t want to break any more!

Are you sliding up the plastic sleave that surrounds the connector - you must do this before you can pull the connector away from the pins?

IME it's a faff to get the plug to release - keep trying and wiggling it - eventually it will come loose and remove very easily and leave you scratching your head wondering why it was so difficult in the first place... And next time you go to unplug it, you'll repeat the same experience.
