Steering Wheel ?????

In any case, the only material suitable for a sports car steering wheel is wood.

Wooden wheels not on my radar. Simply don't like them, makes me think I'm driving a boat. Also, not as bad in these days of airbags but these things caused terrible injuries to hands and arms in traffic accidents back in tbe day and probably still could now.

Tony.

I had one in one of my Mercs 190's, loved it but as Tony points out, no airbag.

I have airbags, can't see 1990s Type Approval allowing the wooden wheel to be a hazard, it was a factory fit.

Just fatter and which one did you choose any pics of it in place
Cheers marv
Went for the first option, very pleased with it, feels great to handle lovely and comfortable. The blue stitching matches the car colour.

Yes, original wheel. Perforated leather at the sides and nappa top and bottom, thumb bumps either sides. Took around two weeks.

Damn it! I had no plans on buying a new wheel until I came across this old post!
