Took the car into work work this morning to refurb the wheel, the black was worn through and I wanted to add some Topaz to tie in with the rest of the interior,

Yesterday I dropped into my local Liquid Leather place asking if it was possible to dye the two pieces either side of the airbag and was told the dye wouldn't take to plastic.

Sean cracking job mate.

@Sean d I do wonder how much your zed would sell for

It's an absolutely stunning car, wish I had your talents mate.

You got any pictures of what it was like when you bought it?

Thanks Faheem, not a clue what it would sell for, being a 2.0l would hold the value back, I'll find some start pics

I am using different products on the plastic mate, plastic primer first to give the base something to bind to but the proof is in the pudding, @Antm72 has used leather dye and its worked a treat.

I told the guy this and he said because the product is water based it would work on a hard plastic
Thats the gerenal rule of thumb mate, as water based will not bind to plastic, that why it needs a plastic primer which eats into the surface of the plastic, then the water base will bind to the primer.
Furniture clinic do a product that is solvent based so it can go straight on plastic.
