I understand it will be personal preference but when any of you have had the steering wheel fattened during refurb at Royal, what size have you gone for and how do you describe it to them. Is there a general concensus as to what is more comfortable, I have always found the rim to thin for my grip.

Hi, I have had a couple of wheels re-trimmed and thickened by them for the same reason as you. I don’t find thin wheels comfortable either. All I asked for was it to be thickened/extra padded, I think they have done so many by now they know what people want. This is the confirmation from my order.
E36 Z3 M-tech 2000 (No Paddles) - Extra Padded, Perforated leather on sides, Smooth top/bottom, BLACK stitching - EXCHANGE
I didn’t have a centre mark because it would drive me mad. 😁

I had mine done by Royal Wheels 11years ago best value/improvement mod I've done on my car as disliked the thin rimmed wheel after driving a E46 M3 for nearly four years. At the time they didn't do reshaping the wheels as they do now but I've heard that it is a good improvement if you want the bottom rim section flattening.

Another vote for Royal Steering Wheels. Standard but fatter (like me) with blue stitching.
